My polo - Update 22nd June

here's my mk5 polo have had it for about a year and four months now and still have alot planned for it when im not in so much debt

heres a list of mods so far:

polo badges removed off tailgate
colour coded rear vw badge
lowered 30mm
16" wheels
gti splitter colour coded
gti grille with red stripe and silver/ black badge
gti grille with grey badge and stripe
gti gear knob
taken off the mud flaps
Honda stubby aerial
K&N 57i induction kit
CD changer
Bucket Seats with 3 point harness's (recently removed)
SEAT ibiza cupra half leather interior
Red Brake calipers
Chrome front indicator bulbs

think thats about it

mods in the near future:

lowering 60mm all round on fk springs and dampers!
and a set of 40 profile tyres to go with the springs
possible wheel refurb as they have a massive kerb mark!

any advice on what to do with my rims refurb wise would be much appreciated!!!
smoothed bumpers also on the agenda but saying that has been for a about 8 months so who knows!

the grey striped grille has literally been on the car a week and hasn been driven anywhere with it on yet! i love it and think it looks the nuts its something different i havn seen done before some think it is to subtle and fades into the silver apint to easily which i agree with but still think it looks awesome! its just that little bit different and subtle is always good with vw's in my opinion!

Yeah it looks good, didn't i come up with the idea for u on demon? But i bet now youv'e done it you'll start to notice other people have done it too.lol

you did come up with the idea its true so i cant take all the credit!

after you said it i just thought that it could look very cool and subtle so got myself a second gti grille and sprayed it after my unsuccesful search for grey tape!!!

dropping the polo another 30mm totally changing the springs and dampers for a 60/60 kit! its a second hand kit but it meant i got it cheaper!!

here are the springs should be with me in about a week

and hopefully on the car soon after that and then we will be sitting pretty!






then i just need to wait until my cash flow improves to smooth the bumpers and rub strips!!!

and some new wheels are in order! im thinking d90's, watch this space!!!

had some time this weekend to get a few little jobs done that id been wanting to do fora while now

1. black b pillars i had already done one pillar but it wasnt the best finish so i started again!

2. Replace my center caps with vw ones

3. install my new aero wipers

after doing my b pillars myself i wouldn recomend the job to anybody with a short temper!!

its pretty much how i want it now! i have a 60/60 kit in my garag waiting to go on!
id like to smooth the bumpers but money is scarse right now!

thats cool did not know you worked away you about for ferrybridge on the 13th

i dont work away im a student at university so same kinda thing but less of the work haha! i will try my best to make ferry bridge but with exams and stuff it might not be top of the priorities list, although i wish it was! would love to see some of these dubs in person!

theres a few niggly things i need to get done to the car though two of my alloys are kurbed which needs sorting plus a nasty dent in my door courtesy of the wind

and i want to get it lowered as soon as plus a new set of lower profile rubber!!!

and want to redo my calipers r 32 blue i think someone has done it on a lupo and my rear drums need a lick of paint!

it would just of been nice to meet you

maybe later on in the summer at one of the meets when you are home from uni car looking cool

yeah your right think the onyl person ive met is polochris and that was by chance! well the car is pretty much how i want it, all that needs to go on is the springs!! i cant wair

it is indeed! i got it from halfords!! think it was about £10.

its just halfords brand, its actually called "brake caliper paint!!"
