Re: Rob's Golf - New pics 22/4/09
I work on Lindsey Refinery, its the other contract companies who work on there who are striking, to do with these Italians who have been brought in to work on there. But they're picketing all the gates, so we've gone out too, could get a long weekend out of it i think lol.

Re: Rob's Golf - New pics 22/4/09
Jesus. I wouldn't like to be striking at this moment in time. You can just imagine the managers / directors thinking... "Hmmm, who shall we lay off to save money... I know... some of the people who are picketing!"
Not wanting to scare you or anything... but I'd be trying to work!

we're not the ones picketing, but the whole maintenence side has walked out just leaving a few men on for safety reasons. And i dont fancy driving through a picket line into work and having my car wrecked lol

Re: Rob's Golf - New pics 22/4/09
Hey, just another quick update, my coilies have now been fitted, just want to say a massive thanks to James for fitting them for me on saturday
Just took a few quick photos on the way home tonight, my cars filthy and the pics are a bit blurry 'cos i didn't have my tripod with me. It was freezing too, i think you can even see the snow in some pics lol. It could maybe do with going a bit lower at the front to get the stance just right, but im happy with it for now

(its the first 9 photos)

Feels much better through corners, dampers are set somewhere in the middle so its not too harsh a ride either (yet lol) thanks for the comments, still think it could go a bit lower at front but not for going to and from work everyday.
Yer Phil i want to get my valances colour coded, gonna look into it soon.

Looking sweet, the induction kits looks top notch and makes a massive difference to the engine bay.

Re: Rob's Golf - New pics 22/4/09
I've got hold of a nice new shiny bonnet lifter for my golf, to replace the boring black one. The problem is, before i fit it i want to get some matching lifters for the boot, but i cant find them anywhere does anyone know where i could get a pair for the mk5, or would some from a similar car fit? thanks

I might have a pair of shiney lifters that I was going to put onto the Jetta's bonnet. Not sure where they are, but I'll try and have a dig about this weekend...
