Had to pull a thin strip of rubber off the N/S/R tyre just now, so that's not good! Need to get the arches trimmed ASAP!

Just taken delivery of some Chemical Guys Professional 'JetSEAL 109' protection... apparently excellent for protecting exposed bare metal / alloys. Supposed to be pretty good for painted surfaces too!

Anyone had use of this before?

Also thinking about putting some (hopefully tinted) front fogs back in when it goes up for sale... what do you think?

Hell yeah, Gee, they look the nuts on the old MkIII. Really likee them.

I saw an awesome looking MkIII in my village last night. It was white, slammed and on G60 steels. It looks super cool. Must try and snap it if I see it again and post pics.

Yeah... Mulberry had gold inserts, where as these are completely polished and look much better I reckon. Still bloody rubbing on the N/S/R tyre though... even after some arch 'persuasion' last night!

    Here's Mulberry with them on...

I'm kinda missing the BBS's now... but they were a BITCH to keep clean and the polished rims weren't exactly the highest of quality due to their extremely poor original condition.

Gimme a decent set and I would consider another rim swap. (due to the annoying rubbing out back!)

[daydream]...I wonder if Rich'll do a swap for his Merc rims...[/daydream]

Aaaaaaah, think I've just solved the rubbing problem. There's a small metal bracket that hold the rear bumper on to the rear arch. I've removed this and now my tyre is not getting cut to shreds anymore. Result.

    Excellent!

Is it as good as it was on the test drive? Bet you're well made up!

Careful of the lead right foot. Take it from me... it isn't nice when you're caught out!

I just can't get over the engine, it's a peach. It just pulls and pulls. I'm very happy. I shall look forward to taking you out for a blast in it. It's a shame neither of us can make the meet this Sunday.

Mk3 looks awesome on the Comps G. Cool

Take it steady Si I know exactly what you mean about the engine being a peach, my GTI managed to get me 6 points in an hour about 2 weeks after I picked it up, I also think the excellent ride quality was a factor in this too. Rolling Eyes

Cheers Deano, I'll try to take it easy. I don't fancy any more 60.00 fines and points on the license. It's just so great to have a fast car again after my Toledo which was a big car with the 1.9Tdi. Hoping the craving to drive like a racing driver will wear off soon!!!

Took a few shots today for use in the sales advert I'll be putting up tomorrow... came out pretty well, and I think these shots will help sell the old girl.

Here's 5 of the 10 images I'll be using... what do you think?

Jez... I was going to, but I've been struggling to find some OEM tinted fogs and centre covers... I was going to get a set of dummy tinted fogs, split them and see if I could fit them to some normal un-tinted fogs... But it was going (or still is) to cost me in the region of 60 to get the parts, so I've not rushed into it...

The upper vents are only 25 a pop anyway... think Deano had a set on his too.
