Re: passion wagon
Joe... it's different vinyl that you were looking at for yours... this is 'faux leather' vinyl that's on the Passat, as opposed to the 'sticker' vinyl that Jen/Matt/AndyP have on their cars...
Looks like a simple upholstery spray adhesive they've used and stretched the leather-look vinyl to fit.
Worth a go on yours though dude. You can 'do-it-yourself' then (with a bit of help)... but I'd be a little nervous about spraying adhesive on to my roof if it were me.

I was saying that we're back at the beginning of your original search again at Jen's door... with you waiting for Aaron to get in contact with you about doing your roof!

Re: passion wagon
well aint really posted up on here for a while as ive been doing loads of bits and bobs
to start of with, got rid of the dtm mirrors
and modified some lupo stubby's to fit
ordered the drivers side from hong kong and for a complete brand new mirror was cheap at 70quid ,as vw in hessle wanted nearly 200
i did have a go at covering them in leather to match my roof but i kept knackering them up
