    The passat Empty The passat

    Post by phorse86 Thu Apr 09, 2009 6:23 am

    Hello all,

Ive been away from cars for a while due to moving house. Unfortunatly i had to sell the golf due to silly insurance costs once i moved to hull. 22 and owning a golf apparently is not a good combination? Anyway, i did a bit of car shopping and ended up buying something i really didnt expect to buy. A 99(s) 1.9 Tdi Passat. As i said not what i expected. On the plus its dirt cheap to insure and getting 50 mpg most of the time so the wallet is loving it especially as it only set me back £700.

To date i havnt really had time to do much to it except correcting a few cosmetic issues on the interior and replacing the drivers window mechanism. The plans ready for summer are to lower it, upgrade the wheels to some 18/19's and possible a remap but we will see on that one.

Heres a few pics of how it looks at the minute. I will be looking to get ris of the wheels in the near future so let me know if your interested in them, there 17" and speak for themselves

    Enjoy

looks nice, will look awesome with a drop and black wheels, be aware though if you get it re-mapped you will more than likely need to get an uprated clutch due to the masses of torque the tdi's put out especially after a re-map. Very Happy

thats what i thought jezz but looking around i cant see any for sale to price em up. If anyone can let me know what they worth i would appreciate it. There in good nick, one has slight bubbling but thats it. O yeh, there a set of 5 aswell if that helps on value.

Ive not had much experience with buying/selling wheels lol
