many of you will have seen this at summernights 10 but heres some pics for those who didnt! currently absolutely standard and mint- no massive plans really, want a bit of a drop on some 17" santa monica rims and my valances coding. perhaps a remap at a later date, we shall see, need to be doing cabby before i do anything major to this, but my long term plans are really quite basic- customised old skool summer ride and a nice smart new daily ride. hoping to put my private plate on soon too - J 800 VEE

please excuse my poor camera trickery

    Time for an update!!!!!

well- as you know - it has cheap 18's and its sky high, i wear an oxygen mask for the commute to work

my new daily- golf mk4 1.8t Picturvve

    and i fitted my plate

    my new daily- golf mk4 1.8t Sep16059

then i removed the rear wiper

    THE END

    BORING ISN'T IT........

the reason not much has happend is my pure lazyness and my lack of financial resource, i'd love to slam it, but coilies and new ARB just arn't in my price range, plus i can't stand bumpy rides- knocking and rattling about makes me mad!!! wudn't mind on a project, but not on the daily, its bad enough on the 18s alone

so plans are afoot for a more financially managebale, yet smart oem+ daily mk4

the rs6's are shortly for sale once i find osme nice oem, pref bbs 17s, currently watching these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250212610432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015
plans are to find a bbs type wheel where i can spray the centres gun metal grey and leave a shiney dish or rim

i think the 17's and a set of decent 30mm springs will give me the stance im after at a much cheaper price. Im also de-cluttering the rear end, removing all badges and replacing the vw badge with the sharran badge i've bough as its smaller

also 17s should give me a better ride

i want to leave the mk4 alone and ge on witha projec, but im not happy with it rite now due to the sky-high stance

Joe... might be interested in the 18's... need some tyres / rims for the A8 if they're at the right price.

Not definite though... so don't get your hopes up just yet Razz

[edit] scrub that, they'll only be 5x100's - rubbish.

Back on topic though, it's looking much better than when you first got it, but agree with you on modifying a daily... felt the same about the VR, and now it's just sat in my driveway after it HAS been modded, feeling sorry for itself.

I'd love to jez, but its the whole 15,000 miles a year on adaptors that puts me off, sorry dude, if they were avaliable in 5x100 i'd have snapped your hand off for a lot more then you have em up for now
