If it's a 1.8 engine you've got, then manifold will be the same as a 1.8 8v GTi unit... is that not right?

If it is right, then the whole system will fit to your manifold. Just don't ask me to undo the manifold / downpipe studs for you... ever!

ive got a 1.8 engine and bought a gti exhaust. i tried fitting the backbox but they didnt fit together properly so i wouldve thought the whole exhaust system would be different?

i dont know anything about cars so i could be wrong lol

Yeah, the system will be different, but the manifold is the same, so JJ's whole GTi system will fit onto El's manifold.

This is what I'm assuming through past experience. If I'm wrong, then please someone correct me on this. Or, if I'm right, then just back me up!

How much for the full system JJ?

And can someone give me a definate on whether it will fit? My downpipe is held on with those exhaust clips...not bolts...

El... might as well take the manifold as well then as I think JJ's system will be the same as mine and have the later, more conventional way of fixing together... (nuts and bolts) much easier not having those stupid clips thingys!

I'm sure JJ can whip the whole thing off in one go... Wink

(sales percentage to be sent to Giles Ramsden, 55 Gloucester Avenue.....) lol!
