Newboy! My vr Empty Newboy! My vr

    Post by al75 Tue Feb 27, 2007 4:03 am

Allreet, just joined this morning so thought I'd start off with a mixed bag of pics and what I'm working on sorting for her over the next month or so to make her sweet.

These are from a few months ago:

    Newboy! My vr Vr09
    Newboy! My vr Vr08
    Newboy! My vr Vr05

This is how her face looks at the minute:

    Newboy! My vr Fk1

Glad I got rid of the quads, sh*t.

Here's what I'm doing to get her sweetened:

Ordered german plates which should be on this week.
Red/clear m3 style rear lights will be going on at the weekend.
Clear side repeaters and large clear fog/indicators to go on.
The front splitter is busted up so am currently smoothing a replacement ready for paint, plus two new sill strips as mine have rippled pretty bad. Again, prepping for paint.
Inlet manifold to be powder coated black as soon as I shift the ones I'm polishing.
The wheels are going, as much as I think they're awesome I've been working on getting a set of 17" monzas strapped on...which I then wanted to sell...which I now, after getting my hands on some cheap adaptors will be getting on soon. Repainted graphite so should look pretty badass. 7.5j with 20mm adaptors should mean a pretty sweet stance.

    Newboy! My vr Monzas3

And that's it, bit wordy but be reet. I'll post up fresh pics when she'd sorted.

Oh, the horrendous zorst in the first pics has already been binned for a stainless snug fit magnex dtm.

Cheers guys. The 16s are perfect dailies and look awesome I think, but, I'm on my arse so need rid to fund the monzas. BUT, I have another set of 16s coming for winters (old school OZ volcanoes), the polished lip and inners are all getting sorted and painted deep graphite, not one for a polished lip.

Ad, you should see her today, I gave her a wash AND cleaned the interior yesterday...didn't hoover though.

looking forward to getting the rest of the mods done, she'll look awesome then. Really looking forweard to seeing if I can pull the monza wheel thing off as no-one I know has these on a mk3, should look real tough...or shite.

mk3s are a grower. Super easy to make look shite, but super easy to make look sick if you have decent funds. Slammed on schmidts is always a winner if you have £1000+ for rims and rubber...if only.
