1.8 GU engine Empty 1.8 GU engine

My Jetta unit will be available as of next weekend. Complete with inlet manifold and carb. Will also have exhasut manifold attached.

Starts first time, every time. Never knocks, rattles, bangs or smokes.

The carb doesn't like the cold weather though, and the revs sit high until the engine warms up significantly.

Great motor... even with 189k on it.

Only reason it's up for sale is it's being replaced with 16v power!

    £40 and it's yours.

    Collection only of course.

Ed might want this for the cabby, he was on about getting one and gettin a weber carb for it. Not sure if he'll be out of by the milage though, but if its all good and been looked after then it should have lots of life left in it.

    Cool.

You've seen the old girl, the engine runs like a sewing machine. Cruises all day on the motorway. I've changed the oil and filter in it twice, about 1500 miles apart, new plugs, leads, etc.

A change of carb would make all the difference.
