Time to start a new build thread me'thinks.....
This is my small light mk1 golf.
Picker her up for a few quid. very tidy. body is in pretty good nick....
got her squeezed in the garage...
doors off, wings off an bonnet off.....
pulled all the harness back into the cab an started thinking about pulling out the lump....
we dont own a hoist or anything so me an tony did it the old fashioned way - length of wood an some straps. because the front of the golf isnt bolted on we ended up having to lift it right above the height f the slam panel!...
Once the block was out i quickly set to removing the battery tray an then started on the raintray....
I have now started on the mind-numbing task of removing all the nice thick sealer from out the bay....
This crap under here was perticularly thick an nasty.....
The next job was to remove the dash so i dont burn the car out by igniting the sound deadening with sparks...
Right. thats it for the time being - more to follow........
