Hey, haven't been on here for a while, i've just swapped my 9n polo for a new golf. Bought a year old 1.4 TSI GT, 170ps i love it! took a few pics:

Another mk5 owner onboard get in, I bet she handles a lot better than the Polo looks really nice if I where you it would get dropped on coilys and get some anthracite or black alloys or just get the ones you have painted, I might have some Eibach springs and GTI dampers for sale soon if your interested.

1.4 TFSI, rocking the small engines how much is tax?

thanks for the comments, yer its a big improvement over the polo, the supercharger and turbo sounds great too! tax is £170 for a year, gonna look at maybe getting some coilovers, then might see about another set of wheels.

well its not too bad if you drive sensibly, and ive been averaging between 30 - 38 mpg. i drove from grimsby to my gilrfriends in scarborough, a bit of driving round there and back to grimsby, and the whole trip only used quarter of a tank (whereas in the polo it would be best part of a tank) that was giving it a bit of boot too lol.

how you finding the lump in it? takes a bit of getting used to the tsi engines. it will sound awesome with an induction kit and a pipe on it!!!

yer getting used to it i think, i love the noise! milltek do a full exhaust system for it, might have a look at one of those

Hey, my cars gone untouched since i bought it a few months ago, but i've finally bought some bits for it! Here's how it looks at the minute:



And here's the stuff i've just got:



I've got a new handbrake leather with red stitching, some of those diadem indicator bulbs that are silver when not being used, and a new forge induction kit I'm gonna start with these and then do a few more bits and pieces over the next few months, like a new exhaust, a slight tint on the rear windows, colour coded valances, and maybe new wheels. I'll post stuff in here as and when it happens lol

Just a little update, went to work as normal this morning and everyone has gone on strike, so i came home again to find that my coilies had been delivered







Cant wait to get 'em on the car!
