hello sorry been absent! but had a bad day sat

sorry been away but been trying not to get trench foot in the so called summer !!!
took the MK1 out sat in the sun for the last time before its sorn and sleeping for the winter.. driving down the road by our house and we slowed down to narrowly avoided a pikey's wheel trim that fell off his wagon and BLAM!!!! someone went in the back of us




well peed off both of us ,we were ok but the car is in a sorry state, i know it could of been worse but still!!! now got loads of hassle to try to sort it out...someone coming out on fri to assess it

Hiya Carol and Bill sorry to hear about the rocco thats bad news, hope it's getting sorted by the other guys insurance, glad your both ok like you said it could of been worse at least your not injured. missed you both at festival and e38 did you go??
All good here btw looking forward to taking a well earned break from the shows for now till next year, enjoyed them all though the ones we attended had a laugh, anyway good to hear from you both and see you next year probably now

Thanks .. insurance coming out on fri so let you know what they reckon... Bill talked to someone from The Phirm...he said that it would most likely to cost a grand or more to get back to original state !!!!
The insurance treat old cars like scrap and parts for these sciroccos are rare to say the least!!!
hope they dont right it off keep anything and everything crossed
The most anoying thing was,that we WERE driving to the garage to put it away for the winter when it got hit as the tax ran out tuesday DOH!!!

the insurence bloke came out today and things seemed on our side, Bill showed him that, it is a car that is rising in value and popurlarity every year and that although it is repairable, it has to be done by poeple who know what they are doing not some garage who un -bolt and replace...which Bill covinced him and Bill had a great amount of help from the guys on scirocco register so thanks to them... so keep everything crossed still... thanks up date you again asap ...Carol x
