by skegmk3gti Thu Jan 24, 2008 1:17 pmwell thought i'd give the mk1 its own thread ( as other had mk3 on still) its a 1982 mk1 gli cab bought it in november for £1000 with the intent of running it while i do it up, got it back had few electrical problems so sent it to corten millers performance centre had a re wire while i was there ended up having head re-built , finnally got it back and my plans are single lamp grill ( now fitted) smoked cross hared lights and smoked indicatirs( both also fitted) after this i'm wanting chrome strip to run down both sides of car with chrome mirrors and trying to locate some chrome porsche exterior handles also new rear lights needednot decided on them yet then i'll be going for a new mo hare roof and black silver number plates , its origanal paintwork from 82 and to look at you wouldn't believe it its mint, couple places want sorting but nothing major, its sat on 14x 9.5's on the back and 14x 8.5's on the front
Got 4 branch manifold on order and also exhaust but keeping it old school style with small pipe sticking out to the left, then gonna start interior looking local to find someone to maybe re-trim in leather not decided colour as yet sort out any sounds in side and anything else needed like little bit ie window winders bits like that , so have a look see what ya think pictures start as from when i got it to how it is now, by the way i'm wayne live in skeg pics to follow in couple minutes hope ya all like

right i've not been on in a long while and my so called mk1 project has taken a major back seat till this winter so nothing really been done so thought i'd rat it up a bit as i'm just using it as my daily hack at the minute , bonnet needed spraying so took that off had spare one so thought i'd rust it over for a giggle i know most dont like it but its only me spare so thought why not , then red rear lenses ( after some all red crystal rear lenses if anyone got any?) then up front got yellow cross hares see what ya think leave comments good or bad
