My MK3 - Finally picked up my rims after 2months! page 3

On tuesday night i bought a local Golf tdi, the people i bought it off had owned it since 97! I'm quite chuffed with it being a 3door tdi as these are pretty rare!
Its pretty much stock apart from the wheels, so.. this weekend, weather permitting i'm fitting my lowering kit to it, and a set of gti seats so i dont keep sliding off the flat boggo seats! Future plans arent silly, as its my daily i'm just going to uprate the brakes to mk2 16v spec up front, de-orangutang the indicators/lights and then just sort the little bits of paint out! The colour is Vw electric green, which ive found so far to be a love or hate colour! I'm unsure if i'm going to keep the wheels on, we'll see how they sit when the arch gaps closed up!!

I know what you mean about the colour though, it makes me want to wet/dry my eyes!

Been routing in my garage this morning, found a set of 16v mk2 discs, calipers/carriers and pads, this afty was spent cleaning up the carriers, and spraying the disc centres satin black (where the wheel bolts up- looks better than rust after so long!). Gonna be fitting the 16v carriers to the existing calipers on the car as theyre the same number as 16v calipers, and slot on the vented 16v discs and pads as the standad solid mk3 tdi discs are a a tad poo!
Also painted the carriers black as they were looking a tad sorry!

We are now lowered! Had to throw a family of immigrants out who were living under my back arches! (there really was that much space!)

where were the Immigrant's From, i find the Spanish tend To like mk3 arches, Bolivians like mk2's .... maybe

Yeah will have been me heading back from work! Went straight home, had my tea and off to my mates at South cave to swap my suspension!

I'm gonna stick with my alloys for now as im skint after buying and fettling it!

Yeah rang them up and they wanted £1750

I got a price with adrian flux the other day and that was £950.

Im hoping when i have 1 year no claim and im 19 it will be cheaper
