    well i wanted somet a lil different so i went for a polo saloon as i havent seen many around where i live so hear is some pics so far

    when i got her:

    well been on a trip to hull 2day to pick up some new wheels thanx to emily Smile so hear is the new wheels got to sell the cupra wheels to get abit of work done to them but they will look cool when there done Very Happy

    well been busy on the good old wheels the last few weeks having a go at polishing the lip up and im happy so far with what i have done but im still waiting for some bits to arive that i have ordered to finish them off Smile so hear they are so far

    cheers chap still waiting on some more sand paper to arive to finish it of compleatly got some 2000/2500/3000 grit coming should get rid of all the little scratches i hope Smile

    I only went down to 800 grade on my Audi pepper-pots in the end. Then the final polish made them like a mirror.

    You got a polishing kit to go on your drill, or are you doing it all by hand?

    its was all done by hand to 1500 then i got myself a dremil to do abit with some autosol some chap on club polo has used 2500 and he has a spot on mirror finish so thaught i would see what it looks like on mine

    take them right down to 3000 than to get that really mirror finish
    u got get the mops and compounds out

    you will find everything you need right here

    what you will need to do
    Process 1 (Burnishing) Grey 523LBZ compound with a sisal polishing mop
    Process 2 (Prepolishing) Green 439T compound with a white close stitched polishing mop
    Process 3 (Polishing) Blue P164 Compound or Rose P126 Compound with a Loose G quality
    Process 4 (Finishing) P175 for super finishing with a Loose WDR quality mop


    the kit seven down is what i used and will get you a pro finish

    That's the same kit I used too... but I reckon you'd get away with using the first kit (without the smaller polishing felts - I never used them).

    Will have to get my polishing skills back out again soon I think!
