the mk2 polo new photo page 2

well done a little on the polo before work today

single light chrome trim grill is in (cheers dave)

but i still cant make it idle correctly ???

any one got any ideas how to set the carb up on this one ???

Yay, the little fella poking his nose out showing his grille off. It looks nice with that grille on.

Idle screw is a pig to get to. If you look at the cam that the throttle cable goes to you will see a hole thru it and adjacent to it there is a hole on the carb which has the CO screw in there.Screw it right in but count how many half turns you get on it before it tightens up, just incase it needs to go back where it was before, then screw it outwards. Before that check that the fuel cutoff solenoid works.Thats on the rear of the carb. that should cick when the ignition is switched on, also check fuse number 9 as this feeds that solenoid. ( GOT ALL THAT)

ha ha shes going to kick herself for writing that

looks even better know spent another hour cleaning it up
air horn works and wiper arms are all nice and black again to go on later
