Re: Matt's Caddy Project - "Caddy no.1"
Would be cool if you did the re-spray in off-white... kinda creamy, or greyish.
Understand that white will be easier though...

Re: Matt's Caddy Project - "Caddy no.1"
De-badged late cabrio style grill
Replacement wing needs the trim clip holes welding/smoothing and holes for the repeater drilling
Seam welded were the b-pillar meets the rear quarter on both sides
no repairs needed on rear panel below the tailgate, it just needed flating back and priming
Front panels all straight now
Passenger wings nearly ready for primer
"Rubber Guarded" front lower panel

recent "excess" water stopped play on Caddy no.1 :-(
place has needed to dry out before work continues, plus the mk2 Escort needs finishing first

Re: Matt's Caddy Project - "Caddy no.1"
Matt's dug Caddy no.1 out from the back of the shed
he's been trying his best to straighten out the damage from when the bonnet hit the roof (this happened long before Matt got the Caddy)
anywho, guy that Matt know called Chris Came across a Caddy in a scrapyard over the river while he was on his travels.........so Matt went & cut the roof off it
& a Rover donated it's half leather front seats......need modding to fit of cause

Re: Matt's Caddy Project - "Caddy no.1"
good work paul keep it up will look good when its done mate.
how much filler was on that roof! that just takes the piss really can't belive anyone would put that much on, its simply been lazy or just been a cowboy.
i noticed you had a dent puller i could do with one for my car found a dent in the sill and can't get it out its right underneith it.
looks like alot of new dubs for next vw fest with all the projects under way keep up the good work guys love to see the old cars come back to life.
