So... here's a couple of quick snaps of the old girl 'in progress'

    G's Mk2 project Frontqu3

    G's Mk2 project Rearjv0

Bought her about 4 weeks ago and she's in reasonably good condition, apart form the tailgate, of which I've got a replacement already laid up in the garage to fit. 140k, but with headgasket failure, hence why she's looking so sorry for herself! Head's off now, so shouldn;t be too long till she's back up and running again.

Audi rims were delivered today, so will take pics of them at lunchtime and post one up... Cool 60mm springs are also waiting to be fitted, so when she's back down on the ground, she'll be looking pretty trick.

We did a treck all the way over to a dealer in Burnley with the trailer after seeing it posted on Ebay. Spoke to him on the phone and went over the next day... he wanted a grand for her, but managed to get it for £400 with the headgasket problem. (see question in the Dub Doctors section).

There's a few small areas that 'may' need attention in the future, but for now, she's completely useable! A very standard Mk2. (well, for now!) There's no rust on any of the doors or panels apart from a small patch on the passenger side rear arch, just behind the door in front of the arch extension near the sill (common place), the tailgate, and a tiny amount round the ariel hole on the front wing. Apart from that, she's very presentable.

J... I know fella. Was contemplating calling you yesterday when my old man was over. Gonna have a look at what we can do to save the existing block before I commit myself to yet another engine (got 2 sat in the garage already - A DX and a foobar'd PB block & box)

Might be in touch soon though!

Audi rims arrived today... quite happy with them.

Need a damn good clean though... but once they've been given the G touch, they'll be spotless! Adapters on their way too... afro

*been 'shopped so that the balloon 60-series tyres look like the 45's they will have on when they're fitted*

    What you think?
