    Project Sciroc60 Empty Project Sciroc60

    Post by Sciroc60 Fri Dec 21, 2007 7:44 am

Hello again, ok i bought this car in August. She started out as a 1.8 8v carb, which was sparkly and nice, but coming down from a 300zx Twin Turbo, Alfa GTV 3.0 V6 and a 6.6 V8 TransAm 79'.....she wasnt the nippiest! So winter sets in, and i decided to do an engine change, supercharged sprung to mind and shes nearly there!

Just got back from a full stainless steel exhaust, courtesy of Dynoflow.co.uk Top man, Finlay.

Heres how she looked 3 years ago

Then the owner got bored, had big ideas for an engine transplant, and bought a race quad, neglected it and sold it to me, with the BBS RMs for £1500....

The rear was completely stripped out, and looked a mess. So whilst the engine was getting put in, I got a lad to box in the rear section ready for carpetting, which looks smart. He cut around my rear strut and FAUX roll cage and made it nice and neat.

As it looks now with the new exhaust (you can just see the boxing in!)

Theres a couple of weekends tinkering to do with the Rocco as it stands, carpetting, cleaning inside, front splitter to put on etc....but itl be worth it in the end!

    Lovely looking machine.

What did you do with the 1.8 8v carb unit...? Just out of curiosity... Wink

not sure mate, the clock had stuck at 90k when i bought it. It ran fine when i had it in. The weber carb (sold) leaked through the gasket, but bar that. its fine. You are welcome to it by all means

Hmmm... no weber carb = no weber carb... lol

Mine's poo. It's okay on the move, runs at 80-100mph without a problem, just when it's cold the carb sticks.

Need more power anyway, so I think I'll give it a miss.

But, back on topic... the rocco is great. Loving the nice clean lines. Credit to you. Looking forward to seeing it in the metal.

all credit to previous owner! But i did do a good job at cleaning her up after the neglect!

All credit to me obviously, spending far too much on it!
