Cheers Sam...
I was toying with the idea about getting rid, but I think I'm going to keep it now...

Re: Project White
please excuse the shockingly bad phone image (and the rust around the front arch), but I have put Project White back on the road temporarily while I don't have a daily driver. It still has the oil pressure problem, but gets me to and from work without it happening.
Thought I'd throw the BBS's and rack on it to see what it looked like.
Getting quite excited about starting work on it now. I've got someone lined up to do the welding / mods that it needs and a painter who's prepared to give it a lick of paint...

Re: Project White
Some new pics.
Putting up an advert as a feeler to see what I should do. If I get a good offer, I think I'll let it go so I just have one car.
Not looking too bad here...

Re: Project White
Got someone coming to look at it tomorrow afternoon.
I know it looks great... and I grinned all the way to work in it this morning!
Gotta be sensible at the moment though, even though I will regret letting it go and I'll probably not find another one like it for a while... but needs must!
No 'onwards and upwards' this time.
But, saying that, the A4 is REALLY nice to drive, and once I've got it all sorted I'll enjoy it just as much as this. Hopefully.
I've even just sourced a Porsche 924 Turbo wheel for it. 3 spoke, the same as I already had for it, but leather trimmed. Looks ace. Will keep that stored away for a rainy day... like a lot of other Mk2 stuff I've got.

Re: Project White
That's it... Project White is no more... it's gone to Scunthorpe with a new owner.
He's attempting to drive it all the way back there right now, so I've given him a tow bar for when it breaks down... which I'm assuming it will with the oil pressure problem. I did tell him about it numerous times, but he said he was going to risk it.
Hope he makes it home and looks after it!

Sad to see the back of this one Gee. I never even saw it in the flesh, just like your Mk3! Glad for you that you've moved it on with no hassle and in good time.

Re: Project White
Yeah, I'm sad to see it go too, but there's more important things than toys I'm afraid... and I've got the A4 that covers all the bases with being a good all-rounder and will be a nice car when I'm done with it.
This was a really genuinely amazing example of an early Mk2. I'll struggle to find another like it for the money.
Just seen an ad on E38 for something similar for double the money... and it was a 5-door in dark blue...!
