thanks for the comments, agree with swiftkid i'm not keen on the small wheels stretched tyres look it's been done to death on nearly every modded vw, these will be gettin 195/45s on too so no stretch for me

they're gonna be gettin painted not sure on a colour yet as i havent decided on the colour for the car (yes it isn't staying matt black) thinkin either a nice dark gloss or satin but every time i choose one i see something better

got a quote from steve on gettin the arches flared out, £200 painted with enough clearance to sit the 15s in nicely.

other then that she won't be touched too much til the new year where the GT engine i've bought is going in as well as the respray, bay included.

also i'm gonna be getting another grille to make something along these lines

NO NO NO steels suck, they are ugly and come on the bottom of the range cars for a reason.

If you want some ideas on paintwork just google mk2 escort as it is quite a similar shape, and also get some forest arches on it, rally slag, rally slag rally slag!!!

rally cars come with all sorts of materials for wheels but usually for strength rather than looks. i very much doubt he wants to rally the car, i meant make it look rally style not make it look like it had a puncture and waiting for proper wheels to be put back on. steels are for rat look and is pretty much as common as dub look. its been done, its boring...yawn.

every look of every car has been done before.
making cars look rally is as common as lowered saxos.

I think the alloys you've bought look fine Danny and as its your car then i think you should do it how you want it to look,don't listen to others just go for it and if people don't agree with how it looks then so what,at the end of the day its your car

thanks for all the comments chaps, but i'm still thinking of going the hot-rod esque route, which is why the wheels are not 100%, banded steels may be the weapon of choice, paintwise i'm liking the idea of a really dark red satin a bit like red oxide but with a satin lacquer finish

though this time next week i'll change my mind

it looks cool danny wheels look alright aswell need to pop down to have a look at it some time soon...............and get my rear lowered!!!
